Hadhramaut: One soldier killed and another injured in an armed ambush in the Al-Abr desert

A soldier was killed and another was injured on Friday evening, following an armed ambush targeting a vehicle of the Homeland Shield Forces in the Al-Abr desert in Hadhramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen.

Local sources said that gunmen opened fire on a vehicle belonging to the Homeland Shield, which was designated for transporting water, between the New Triangle and the Bahaj point in the Al-Abr area of the Hadhramaut desert.

The sources explained that the attack resulted in the killing of a soldier named "Salem Baqdim" and the injury of another.

The sources indicated that the gunmen, who are believed to be bandits, fled towards the desert after opening fire on the vehicle.
