A citizen was shot by a gunman on Tuesday while receiving condolences for the death of his wife in one of the towns of Ibb in central Yemen, amid the security chaos witnessed by the governorate.

Local sources said that citizen "Mohammed Mahyoub Al-Shahari" was shot by a gunman while receiving condolences for his wife who died two days ago, in the Tha'ub area of Khabbaz district in Al-Udain district.

The sources added that Al-Shahari was transferred to Al-Nour Hospital in Ibb city to receive treatment, noting that the gunman fled without knowing the reasons for the incident.

This comes amidst the security chaos and the high crime rate in the districts of Ibb Governorate, which are under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia.
