Ma'rib: Power restored after two hours of outage

Electricity has returned to Marib city, after it was cut off on Wednesday evening, due to the Marib gas station going out of service due to a technical fault.

A source at the Marib gas station explained to "Yemeni Youth Net" that the reason for the station's shutdown was due to a technical fault in one of the station's circuits as a result of strong winds that hit the city on Wednesday evening, noting that the power outage included the city and valley directorates.

The source said, "An engineering team from the station began repairing the fault immediately after it occurred, and restored power within two hours."

The electricity was completely cut off in the city of Marib, minutes before the Maghrib call to prayer, before returning at exactly 8 pm, according to the city’s residents.
