Masam Project announces the removal of 846 Houthi mines and ammunition in Yemen during the past week

Today, Sunday, the Masam Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen announced the removal of 846 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices left behind by the terrorist Houthi militia in several Yemeni governorates during the past week.

The center said in a statement by its media center that its field teams removed 846 mines and unexploded ordnance last week (December 7-13), including 803 unexploded ordnance, 39 anti-tank mines, three anti-personnel mines, and one explosive device during the period.

He added that the number of items removed between December 1 and November 13 reached 1,654.

The statement said that demining teams were able to clear 214,757 square meters of Yemeni land last week.

The statement indicated that the project teams were able to identify and destroy 472,688 explosive materials in the liberated areas in Yemen, since the start of the project in June 2018 until now.
