Meteorology expects scattered rain and moderate weather in coastal areas

The Meteorology and Early Warning Center at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology expected today, Sunday, that the weather in coastal areas and nearby areas will be clear to partly cloudy, moderate in temperature, with the possibility of scattered rain on parts of the western coasts and adjacent areas, and light to moderate winds, according to various weather maps, satellite images and outputs of global numerical models.

The center also expected in its daily weather bulletin that the mountainous highlands will witness clear to partly cloudy weather, cold to relatively cold, especially during the night and early morning in parts of the western highlands, with the possibility of scattered rain in parts of them. The desert and plateau areas will also witness clear, hot and relatively dusty weather during the day, with moderate winds.

According to the weather forecast, the maximum and minimum temperatures today, Sunday, in coastal areas and nearby areas are expected to be as follows: Aden 30/24 - Mukalla 29/22 - Hodeidah 30/24 - Socotra 30/20 - Mokha 31/23 - Al Ghaydah 29/22 - Zinjibar 31/23 - Lahj 30/21, and in desert and plateau areas as follows: Seiyun 33/15 - Marib 33/14 - Ataq 32/16 - Bayhan 32/17, and in mountainous areas as follows: Sana'a 29/10 - Taiz 29/12 - Dhamar 27/07 - Ad Dali 28/15 - Ibb 27/13 - Al Bayda 26/09.

The center renewed its warning to citizens in high mountainous areas of low temperatures at night and early morning, urging citizens to take the necessary precautions, especially children and the elderly.

The center also issued a warning to fellow citizens and vehicle drivers in the highlands of the poor horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog or water mist, as well as to fellow citizens, especially those with chest diseases in areas where dust is expected, to take the necessary measures.

The Meteorological Forecasting and Early Warning Center also expected, in its daily marine bulletin, today, Sunday, that the sea condition on the coasts of Al Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, the western coasts and the Socotra Archipelago will be light waves, and that the sea condition in our territorial waters in the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea will be light waves.
