Meteorology expects cold weather to continue and calls on farmers to take necessary precautions

The National Center of Meteorology called on farmers, on Sunday, to take the necessary measures to protect them, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry keepers to preserve them, due to the continued cold weather.

In its weather bulletin, the center warned farmers of the effects of severe cold on crops, expecting the cold weather to continue in several governorates during the coming hours.

The center expected cold to very cold weather during the night and early morning hours in the governorates of (Al Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'dah), with the possibility of frost forming in parts of them.

He also expected cold weather in the deserts of Hadhramaut and Shabwa and the highlands of the governorates of Ibb, Taiz, Ad Dali, Lahj and Abyan, southern Marib and western Al Jawf, in addition to relatively cold weather in the highlands of Hajjah, Al Mahwit and Raymah.

The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning warned citizens in the highlands and deserts, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late night and early morning hours, of the cold weather.
