Ministry of Endowments announces recovery of nearly 15 million Saudi riyals in Hajj service fees

The Ministry of Endowments and Guidance announced today, Thursday, the recovery of approximately fifteen million Saudi riyals in fees for the services of our country’s pilgrims for the 1445 AH season.
The ministry explained in a press release published by the official agency that these amounts represent the value that was determined to develop and expand the toilets in the Mina camps, which were not approved for development by the relevant authorities due to the lack of time, as well as some services that were contracted to be provided in the holy sites and which could not be implemented during the Hajj season.
The statement indicated that the procedures for delivering the amounts to the pilgrims directly will begin according to a mechanism that ensures that they reach them, and it will be announced at a later time through the Hajj and Umrah Sector of the Ministry.
The Ministry noted that the announcement of the refund of this amount comes within the framework of its keenness on the principle of transparency and ensuring the rights of pilgrims and its constant endeavor to serve them and fulfill its obligations towards them within its continuous follow-up to ensure the provision of the best services to the guests of God and evaluate them according to the highest quality standards.
The Ministry affirmed its constant commitment to providing the best services to pilgrims and facilitating all procedures to ensure that they perform the Hajj rituals with ease and comfort, calling on everyone to follow its announcements and news issued through its official pages and government media to obtain all the latest developments.
The Minister of Endowments, Muhammad Ayda Shabiba, had acknowledged the shortcomings in providing services to the pilgrims, and pledged to return the money to its owners.
