Israeli airstrikes on Friday killed and wounded civilians, targeting civilian sites and facilities in Sanaa and the ports of Hodeidah in western Yemen. Israeli media reported that the airstrikes were coordinated with the US-British international coalition.
According to Houthi media, "an employee was killed and 6 others were injured as a result of the aggression on Ras Issa port," and it was reported that 13 raids targeted the Haiz power station, resulting in the injury of three citizens, including a worker in the power station, and damage to a number of homes.
Dozens of airstrikes targeted the vicinity of Al-Sabeen Square and Haiz power station in Sana'a, and the port of Ras Issa and Al-Salif in Al-Hodeidah Governorate. The raids were launched in conjunction with the weekly gathering of Al-Sabeen Square organized by the Houthis.
Houthi media reported that more than 32 raids targeted the vicinity of Al-Sabeen Square and vital civilian facilities, most notably the Haiz power station in the capital Sana'a and the facilities of the Ras Issa and Hodeidah ports.

For its part, Israeli media reported that more than 20 raids targeting Sanaa and Hodeidah were carried out in coordination between Israel and the international coalition. It noted that "3 waves of strikes took place at close times and in different areas and on multiple targets, including underground sites, among them warehouses for ballistic missiles and drones."
The Israeli Army Radio reported that 20 fighter jets participated in the attack and dropped 50 bombs, confirming that the fighters carried out a refueling operation in the air.
Tactical coordination with America and Britain
For his part, the White House said in a statement, "We will continue to degrade the capabilities of the Houthis as much as possible," noting that "the recent Houthi operations show that they still have some military capabilities."
For its part, the Israeli Channel 14 reported that the attack was planned as part of the Israeli approach towards the Houthis, adding that after the international coalition completed its strikes in Yemen, Israel began attacking its own targets.
The Israeli Army Radio also said that the attack took place shortly after the American and British attacks and in a coordinated manner.
Axios quoted a senior US official as saying that the attacks "were not a joint US-British-Israeli operation. Rather, there was tactical coordination to avoid conflict, but each party attacked different targets."
The Israeli army said that "the bombing comes as a result of the repeated Houthi attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens, and that it will continue to act forcefully and strike anyone who poses a threat to the citizens of the State of Israel, no matter how far away."
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened the Houthis that they would pay a "heavy price for their aggression" against Israel. He confirmed that the Israeli army attacked Houthi targets in the western coast and deep inside Yemen.
Mutual attacks
The Houthis also announced targeting a group of Israeli targets in the occupied Jaffa area with 3 drones, and carrying out military operations, including targeting an American aircraft carrier and its warships, according to a statement by the group's military spokesman.
The day before yesterday, Wednesday, the American and British aircraft launched air strikes on sites in the governorates of Sana'a and Amran in northern Yemen, and targeted two air strikes on the Jarban area in the Sanhan district of Sana'a governorate, and launched five air strikes on the Harf Sufyan district of Amran governorate.
The US Central Command said in a statement that it carried out "precision strikes on advanced conventional weapons storage facilities underground belonging to the Houthis, inside the territories they control."
Since November 2023, the Houthis have begun targeting Israeli or Israeli-linked cargo ships in the Red Sea with missiles and drones, and since the beginning of 2024, Washington and London have begun launching air strikes and missile attacks on Houthi sites in Yemen.
