Telecommunications Corporation: Prices of devices and packages for satellite internet service have not been announced yet

The General Telecommunications Corporation, headquartered in the interim capital Aden, said on Tuesday that it has not yet announced the prices of devices and packages for the Starlink satellite internet service.

The corporation explained in a statement published on its Facebook page, "that it will not officially announce the prices of the devices and packages for the Starlink service yet."

In this regard, she confirmed that "the official announcement will be issued soon through its official platforms only."

She pointed out that the information and prices being circulated on some news websites and social media are completely incorrect.

The Foundation called on citizens to constantly follow its official channels to obtain correct and updated information.

The director of the institution, Engineer Wael Tarmoum, announced at the beginning of this month the start of the official experimental phase of the Starlink (satellite internet) service in the liberated governorates.

Tarmoum confirmed that Yemen will be in the orbit of official coverage of the satellite Internet service, starting next October.
