Unknown gunmen kidnapped, on Thursday evening, the head of the Chamber of Commerce in Abyan Governorate, Sheikh Mohammed Ali Saleh Al-Wali, amid an escalation by the governorate’s tribes, who demanded that his fate be revealed quickly and unconditionally.
In this regard, Sultan Nawaf bin Fadl Al-Afifi condemned the kidnapping of Sheikh Al-Wali, head of the Chamber of Commerce in Abyan Governorate, and a prominent businessman and well-known social figure in the city of Jaar, which took place in front of his house in the city of Jaar.
In a statement, Sultan Al-Afifi called on the local authorities and security services, including the Security Belt, to take immediate action to uncover the place of his detention and arrest the kidnappers, holding the concerned authorities fully responsible for any harm that Sheikh Al-Wali might be exposed to.
Al-Afifi indicated in his statement that the deadline granted to the authorities in the governorate and Khanfar District does not exceed 24 hours.
