The legal team supporting the Presidential Leadership Council, headed by Judge Hamoud Al-Hitar, discussed during its first meeting held today, Saturday, in the interim capital, Aden, the team’s work plan for the next stage.
According to Saba Agency, the meeting focused on activating the legal support mechanisms for the Presidential Leadership Council, and ensuring the team’s commitment to the approved constitutional laws and references.
Judge Al-Hattar stressed that the team will be an important legal reference that supports the Council in its decisions, and he also stressed the importance of enhancing work in accordance with national and international standards.
Al-Hattar pointed out that the team will work on preparing the necessary legal studies and research that support the public interest and preserve the country's stability.
In his speech, Al-Hattar also highlighted the progress made by the team in preparing a draft of the rules governing the work of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, in addition to the legal and economic teams.
He stressed the need to intensify efforts to achieve more accomplishments during the coming period.
It is noteworthy that this meeting is the first for the team formed under the Republican Decree issued on April 7, 2022.
The team aims to support the Leadership Council in making its political and administrative decisions by providing legal advice and consultation, and ensuring compliance with laws and constitutional references.
