The US military announced on Tuesday that it had destroyed a drone belonging to the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.
The US Central Command (Centcom) said that its forces succeeded, during the past 24 hours, in destroying a drone belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthis in an area they control in Yemen.
She added, "It was determined that this weapon represents an imminent threat to the United States, coalition forces, and commercial ships in the region."
She noted that this measure was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure.
