Mustafa Al-Numan appointed Deputy Foreign Minister of Yemen
Al-Naaman said in an article last December, “While people are busy managing one meal a day, and in light of the complete collapse of the service system, the ‘legitimacy’ apparatuses are busy resolving administrative disputes between their senior employees. There does not seem to be any improvement in the present of the Yemenis on the horizon, and as for the future, I am not wrong if I say that it is not in their calculations.”
He pointed out that there is confusion in the relationship between the "Council" and the Council of Ministers, as it is no secret that the relationship is not clear and does not adhere to the remaining governing constitutional frameworks, and the relationship between the two councils and within them is witnessing tension that everyone is aware of and that must not be ignored or treated leniently.
He added that "there is nothing on the horizon that suggests that the 'Council' will be able to overcome the obstacles it faces without entering into a session of frank and revealing frankness, and determining the priorities for which it came as a replacement for President Hadi, since dealing with national issues based on functional quotas with regional orientations is far removed from the standards of competence and integrity."
He stressed that the continuation of political chaos, administrative laxity and the spread of corruption at all levels is an environment in which it is impossible to talk about an authority that is able to carry out its duties and is capable of fulfilling its moral and national responsibilities.
As he said in a previous article, “What is required of the Leadership Council is to hold continuous meetings with all its members sitting in front of each other to be frank and answer all questions. It is not enough to constantly deceive people by saying that the council is cohesive, because everyone knows that its members did not agree, after a bitter struggle, on anything but one issue, which is determining their bonuses and the bodies affiliated with them.”
He stressed that "talking about a sustainable solution that will get people out of the depths of the crisis we are experiencing requires, without falsification or flattery, thinking about reorganizing the current authority, because it is clear that the structure that was produced on April 7, 2022 cannot run the country in war or peace."
It is noteworthy that Al-Naaman had withdrawn from the membership of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission supporting the Presidential Council. He wrote at the time via the "X" platform: "I announce my withdrawal from the Commission, rejecting any of its financial benefits due to my inability to continue performing any role that is inconsistent with my legacy, conscience and convictions."
