He stressed the need for the new US administration to exert real pressure on the terrorist Houthi militias to stop their rebellion, crimes and violations, in a way that reflects on the security of our country, the region and the world, and achieves for Yemen and its noble people the end of the Houthi militia coup and the restoration of the state.
Al-Barakani stressed the importance of the role assigned to the United States of America as an effective partner in contributing to establishing peace and confronting and fighting all forms of terrorism in Yemen and the region.
Al-Barakani also stressed the constitutional legitimacy's adherence to the approach of comprehensive and just peace in accordance with the references agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally, stressing the importance of doubling international efforts to implement the Security Council resolution on banning the export of Iranian weapons to the terrorist Houthi militias.
For his part, the US Ambassador condemned the Houthi militias' violations of rights and freedoms against Yemenis and their adoption of behavior that is unacceptable to Yemenis and does not belong to them, their brutal crimes and their harm to Yemen, the region, the global economy, and international navigation in the Red Sea, and the risks it poses to the security, stability, and flow of trade exchanges in the world.
Fagin said that the world is closely monitoring these terrorist Houthi practices supported by the Iranian regime, stressing the US administration's support for Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy, and continuing efforts to achieve stability in the region.
