The week-long conference of EU ambassadors in Brussels discussed the situation in Yemen, including contributing to efforts to bring peace and restore stability in the Red Sea.

The European Mission in Yemen said on its account on the X platform, on Sunday, "European Union ambassadors from all over the world concluded a week-long seminar in Brussels," with the participation of the head of the mission in Yemen, Gabriel Munuera Vinals.

She added that Ambassador Munuera "discussed with the EU leadership and his colleagues the main challenges in the region and how the EU can contribute to peace and stability in Yemen and the Red Sea."

On February 3, the European Union Ambassadors Conference was launched in Brussels, and the European Mission in Yemen confirmed that Ambassador Vinals will speak during his participation about Yemen and the need to continue supporting the Yemeni government, supporting the peace efforts made by the United Nations, and helping all Yemenis in various parts of the country.

In addition to supporting peace efforts in Yemen, the European Union has been leading a naval operation in the Red Sea for about a year to confront Houthi attacks on international shipping vessels.

In this context, the Aspides mission said in a statement the day before yesterday that it is committed to protecting vital sea routes, strengthening international partnerships, and contributing to global stability through security efforts led by the European Union.

The European mission statement indicated that the participation in the annual conference of EU ambassadors confirmed the European Union's commitment to adopting a comprehensive approach to security, ensuring "integration of military operations with diplomatic and political initiatives."
