Citizens in Ibb city complain about widespread pickpocketing gangs

The city of Ibb (central Yemen), which is under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia, is witnessing a widespread spread of pickpocketing gangs amid the massive security chaos witnessed by the governorate.

Citizens complained about the spread of armed gangs on motorcycles in a number of streets in the city of Ibb (the governorate’s center), and the pickpocketing of shoppers and passersby.

Citizens explained in complaints they posted on social media that the gangs specifically steal phones, women’s handbags and purses.

Citizens accused the security services affiliated with the Houthi militia of colluding with these gangs and not arresting them despite the continuous reports they submit.

This comes in light of the massive security chaos witnessed in the governorate under the control of the Houthi militia, which has increased the severity of various crimes.
