Foreign Minister discusses peace efforts in Yemen with British Ambassador

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani, discussed today, Monday, with the British Ambassador to our country, Abda Sharif, peace efforts in Yemen.

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Minister Al-Zindani met with the British Ambassador in Riyadh and reviewed with her the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The statement added, "The meeting discussed the various areas of support provided by the United Kingdom to Yemen, especially in the humanitarian and relief field."

He added: "The developments in Yemen and the region were also discussed, as well as the efforts made to reduce escalation and achieve peace in Yemen."

Over the past few days, London has intensified its diplomatic efforts to push forward the peace process in Yemen, which it said, following meetings with UN and US envoys and the Saudi and US ambassadors, was important and vital for stability in the region.
