A military spokesman in the Taiz axis revealed that the terrorist Houthi militia has mobilized new reinforcements and carried out engineering innovations and dug trenches around the city of Taiz (southwest of Yemen).

This came in an intervention by the Deputy Head of the Moral Guidance Division in the Taiz Axis, Colonel Abdul Basit Al-Bahr, on the (Shabab Net) channel yesterday evening, Sunday.

Colonel Al-Bahr said that the Houthi militia had carried out 7 infiltration attempts into army positions around the city and the western countryside of the governorate during the past three days.

He added that the militia launched artillery shelling north of the city, and that a clash took place between the army forces and the militia using medium and heavy machine guns on the Al-Anein front on the outskirts of Jabal Habashi, west of Taiz.

He stressed that the militia continues "mobilization, recruitment, digging trenches, and making engineering and military innovations in the city belt, training combat elements and deceived individuals, and mobilizing them towards the Taiz fronts, the West Coast, and other fronts."

Colonel Al-Bahr explained that the National Army forces are at the peak of readiness and combat preparedness and have responded to all the militia's attempts and thwarted them, inflicting losses on the militia in equipment and lives, while the militia has not achieved any progress on the ground.

This comes at a time when the Houthi militia is intensifying its hostile operations on various fronts, despite continuous international and regional calls to de-escalate and enter into a negotiation process to end the protracted conflict in the country.
