Taiz parties call for urgent economic solutions and condemn Houthi and Zionist attacks

Political parties in Taiz Governorate stressed, in their regular meeting on Tuesday, the need to take urgent measures to address the deteriorating economic situation in the country, emphasizing the importance of improving the value of the national currency, re-exporting oil and gas, and controlling currency manipulators.

In a statement, the parties called for implementing the presidential directives issued at the December 24, 2024 meeting, including strengthening anti-corruption efforts, improving public revenues, reducing expenditures, and the return of all institutions to work from within the country.

The parties appreciated the role of the social incubator and the people of Taiz in confronting the Houthi coup, which continues its random attacks on civilians and destroys the infrastructure, stressing the importance of supporting the national army and security, considering their heroic contributions the cornerstone of the battle for liberation and restoration of the state.

At the regional level, political parties strongly condemned the brutal genocide crimes committed by the Zionist occupation in Gaza, and the bombing of civilian institutions and the infrastructure of the Yemeni people.

The parties considered the international silence towards these crimes as unjustified complicity, calling on Arab countries to take effective action to stop the ongoing crimes, stressing that the Palestinian issue will remain a central Arab issue.

The parties also called for unifying efforts and working seriously to implement reform steps that include restructuring government bodies, improving relief management, and providing care for the wounded and families of martyrs, stressing that these steps are necessary to save the economy and the stability of the country.
