Multiple documents showed that the Public Prosecution in Aden arrested an executive director who works as the director of the Al-Nada Company branch in Aden, for his involvement in forgery and attempting to smuggle advanced communications equipment to the Houthi militia.

Documents published by journalist Abdulrahman Anis in Aden on Friday evening revealed that Al-Nada Company, whose headquarters are in Sana’a and which has a branch in Aden, forged official documents from the Political Security, other intelligence agencies, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Communications to bring communications equipment that was seized in Djibouti and belongs to the FAO into areas controlled by the Houthis.

Journalist Anis pointed out that the forgery operation was also participated in by a criminal investigation officer in Aden who works for the company, and the Public Prosecution arrested him.

According to the documents, the smuggling attempt lasted for more than two years.

The documents did not disclose the role of the FAO and the reasons for its entry of banned communications equipment into areas controlled by the Houthis, after it also failed in its attempt to enter it via air freight on UN aircraft, despite the poor record of international organizations in Yemen according to several reports.

The sources confirmed that the Public Prosecution closed the Al-Nada Company branch in Aden and expanded its investigations into the role of the civil and security authorities in Aden involved in the smuggling attempt.
