US President Donald Trump warned Yemen's Houthis and Iran on Monday that "greater things are coming" if attacks on ships do not cease, after the United States carried out strikes against the Houthis.
"The Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists have been decimated by relentless strikes over the past two weeks. Many of their fighters and leaders are gone," Trump said in a post on Twitter.
He added, "We are striking them day and night, with increasing ferocity. Their capabilities that threaten navigation and the region are being rapidly destroyed. Our attacks will continue until their threat to freedom of navigation is eliminated."
Trump continued: "The Houthis' choice is clear: Stop shooting at American ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we are just beginning, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran."
