Yemeni government calls on EU to support its efforts in implementing economic recovery plan

He pointed out the measures taken in this regard, including the cancellation of all energy purchase contracts, which were a major source of financial mismanagement and corruption.
Bat Mubarak expressed the government's keenness to develop the level of partnership and coordination with the European Union and countries, and the importance of taking strict positions towards the economic war of the terrorist Houthi militias against the Yemeni people, and their gross violations of human rights, including the kidnapping of UN and international employees.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to keep Yemen on the international agenda, given the ongoing economic and security challenges.
He reassured the humanitarian community and international partners that the necessary measures would be taken to direct the requirements for classifying the Houthi militia as a foreign terrorist organization towards its main objectives of dismantling its terrorist structure without harming the interests of citizens, relief aid, and food imports.
He also renewed the government's and the Presidential Leadership Council's commitment to a comprehensive and just peace approach based on the three references for a political solution, in order to end the human suffering created by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.
In turn, the head of the EU mission and the European ambassadors affirmed their full support for the government and its efforts in implementing the economic recovery plan, continuing the path of reforms, and coordinating to mobilize international support for the general budget in order to achieve economic and service stability.
They also expressed their support for the Prime Minister's vision and the paths he is working on, and their keenness to support the Yemeni Coast Guard Forces.
