The Red Sea crisis has affected Indian export growth to several trade destinations, Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, as Iran-backed Houthi militias continue their attacks on cargo ships for more than a year.

The Gulf delegation that arrived in Damascus and met with the leader of the new Syrian administration, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, includes the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council, Jassim Al-Badawi, and the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Abdullah Al-Yahya.

The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, called on all parties on Wednesday to engage seriously with his efforts to implement the roadmap, noting that it aims to achieve a ceasefire, implement economic measures including sustainable salary payments, and pave the way for a comprehensive political process.

A Yemeni government source denied on Wednesday the existence of differences between the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, and the Prime Minister, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, and described the talk about this as "false news and baseless allegations."

The Yemeni Council of Ministers announced, on Thursday, the formation of a ministerial committee headed by the Minister of Finance to study the draft economic rescue plan, absorb the comments submitted on it, and resubmit it to the Council within two weeks.

Today, Tuesday, a government discussion session was held in the American capital, Washington, with the United States Agency for Development, regarding the development and rationalization of international support mechanisms for Yemen, on the sidelines of the participation of the Yemeni government delegation and the Central Bank in the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
