He also stressed the position of the Gulf states that the Golan Heights is Syrian land, and condemns the expansion of Israeli settlement there.

The leader of the new Syrian administration, Ahmed Al-Sharaa and Al-Shaibani, received the Gulf delegation headed by the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and Chairman of the current session of the Gulf Cooperation Council Ministerial Council, Abdullah Al-Yahya, in addition to the Secretary-General of the Council, Jassim Al-Badawi.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that this visit comes within the framework of the recommendations issued by the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which stressed the Council countries’ adherence to the basic principles that guarantee Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and that it is also “a message of support for the will of the brotherly Syrian people.”

This is the second official delegation to arrive in Damascus today. A Ukrainian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Andriy Sypiga arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, after the regime of ousted President Bashar al-Assad announced a rift with Kiev two years ago.

In the same context, Al-Shaibani announced today that he had accepted an official invitation from his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, to visit the Kingdom.

Al-Shaibani added, according to a post on his official account on the X platform, “I accept this invitation with all love and pleasure, and I am honored to represent my country on my first official visit, and we look forward to building strategic relations with our brothers in the Kingdom in all fields.”
