Yemeni Navy Participates in Operation "Compass Flower 4" to Enhance Maritime Security

The Yemeni Navy participated in the fourth edition of Operation Compass Rose 4, which concluded its activities in the Bahraini capital, Manama, with broad international participation.

According to Saba News Agency, the Yemeni delegation included two officers from the Yemeni Navy, who were among 103 participants representing the naval forces and coast guards of 19 countries, in addition to relevant international organizations.

The operation took place at the US 5th Fleet’s Maritime Support Activity Unit from December 15-19, under the command of the Egyptian Navy represented by Combined Task Force (CTF-154).

The training, which focused on building maritime capabilities and enhancing maritime security, covered several areas, including maritime security, maritime domain awareness, firefighting, damage control, maritime law, boarding and inspection procedures, and ship insurance, in addition to developing media content preparation skills.

The Yemeni Navy's participation comes within the framework of enhancing international cooperation and building national capabilities, which contributes to supporting security and stability in the sea lanes.
