Barcelona, who were down to one man, narrowly won against Benfica, while Bayern Munich won the all-German clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

Barcelona achieved a difficult victory over its host Benfica 1-0, and the Brazilian Rafinha scored the only goal of the match in the 61st minute.

Barcelona completed the match against Benfica with a numerical deficit since the 22nd minute, when Pau Coparsi was sent off, receiving his first red card in his professional career.

At 18 years and 42 days old, Koparsi became the youngest player to receive a red card in the Champions League since Nigerian Celestine Babayaro in 1994.

Raphinha became the first Brazilian player to score at least 13 goals in a single Champions League season since Roberto Firmino with Liverpool in the 2017-18 season.

Bayern Munich beat Leverkusen

At the same time, Bayern Munich achieved a great victory over its compatriot Bayer Leverkusen, 3-0.

Harry Kane (9 and 76 from a penalty kick) and Jamal Musiala (54) scored the Bavarian team's goals.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who left the match injured, became the second goalkeeper to play 150 matches in the Champions League in its entire history, after Iker Casillas.

After opening the scoring for the Bavarian team in the ninth minute, Kane ended his 301-minute goal drought in all competitions since February 12.

England's Kane has scored at least 30 goals in all competitions in seven of his last 11 club seasons.
