Israeli killed, dozens injured in car-ramming attack at bus station north of Tel Aviv

The Israeli ambulance confirmed that one Israeli was killed and 49 Israelis were injured, 15 of them seriously, today, Sunday, in a truck collision with a bus station near Glilot, north of Tel Aviv, amid speculation that the accident was motivated by "nationalism," which is what the Israeli police say when the Palestinian resistance carries out such operations.
Israeli police said the truck collided with a bus near a passenger station next to the Glilot military base, which also houses a Mossad headquarters, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was awaiting a final explanation of the incident.
The Israeli police indicated that civilians opened fire on the driver of the truck that collided with the bus and passengers at the station in the Glilot area, while the Israeli army radio reported that the perpetrator of the ramming operation was shot.
The Israeli Army Radio confirmed, quoting eyewitnesses, that a large number of the injured were soldiers who were on their way to their military bases.
While Channel 12 Israel reported that 35 people injured in the run-over operation were evacuated, saying that 6 of them were in critical condition and 5 had moderate injuries, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that a number of the injured were trapped under the truck and were in critical condition.

The Israeli ambulance confirmed that it was providing first aid to dozens of people in the truck accident north of Tel Aviv.
Israel Hayom reported that the driver got out of the truck after the run-over, carrying a knife.
The Israeli Army Radio quoted a security source as saying that the indications are that the ramming was "nationally motivated," a description Israel uses when the attacker is Palestinian.
The security source added that it is likely that the perpetrator is a Palestinian from East Jerusalem, without confirming his identity yet, while journalist Elias Karam quoted Israeli Channel 12 as saying that the perpetrator is a young Palestinian man from the city of Qalansawe, which is located within the Green Line, and holds the blue ID provided by the Israeli authorities.
"natural response"
For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that "the heroic ramming operation near the Mossad headquarters is a natural response to the crimes of the Zionist occupation against our Palestinian people."
The movement added that it blesses the operation, "which confirms that our valiant people continue to challenge the Zionist killing and terror machine," calling for more confrontation and engagement with the occupation soldiers and settlers.
The Islamic Jihad Movement also said that it blesses "the heroic Tel Aviv operation that targeted soldiers and officers from the military intelligence unit, and it is a natural response to the massacres committed by the Zionist enemy."
