The General Authority of Land and Sea Ports in Syria took over all crossings in the northern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, after a meeting with entities affiliated with the Turkish government.

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday that Khartoum's welcome of Turkish mediation to end the dispute with the UAE stems from the fact that the latter is "a party to the aggression that Sudan is being subjected to," in response to a statement by the UAE Foreign Ministry regarding Turkish mediation and Abu Dhabi's vision to end the war in Sudan.

Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Oraloglu said on Tuesday that his country aims to reach an agreement with Syria on the demarcation of maritime borders after the formation of a permanent government in Damascus.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Administration, Ahmed al-Sharaa, met with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, in Damascus yesterday, Sunday. They stressed the importance of strengthening strategic relations between the two countries and strengthening the next government. The two sides also called for lifting sanctions on Syria.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Wednesday “for this strong leadership stance,” stressing that “we cannot separate Lebanon’s security from the security and stability of the region,” in reference to developments in Syria.

Türkiye reopened its embassy in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Saturday for the first time since 2012.
