Gaza and the Arab priority
Our Writers| 21 October, 2024 - 5:26 PM
The position of the Arab peoples towards Gaza is very weak, and certainly weaker than the position of the shameful official Arab regime. The reasons for this weakness go back to the certain defeat that the Arab peoples suffered in 2011 when they sought with tremendous force at the time to build a democratic Arab regime that would unleash the energies of their peoples towards the future with strength and dignity, through the democratic system.
In light of the horrific crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza, with which the United States stands with all its strength, the awareness of the Arab peoples, especially the peoples of the Arab Spring countries and their social, political and cultural forces, must be reshaped, that the battle for transformation towards democracy is the urgent priority to put an end to these Israeli crimes, provided that within this awareness or one of its most important pillars is that the one who sought to undermine this great Arab attempt is the United States, in service of the Israeli occupation to disable the power of the Arab peoples, who we now see as having lost their sense and dignity in the face of Israeli crimes.
To this end, the greatest burden falls on the Arab political movements in their various countries and the rest of the social forces to reshape the battle for democracy on clear foundations, including that the transition to democracy will be confronted by the colonial powers of the West, especially the United States, Britain and the countries of Western Europe, despite their disgusting statements about their support for democracy. Thus, the struggle for democracy in the Arab world becomes a condition for the survival of the Arab nation-state, and confronting the weakness, backwardness and humiliation that we live in at all levels.
