On Thursday evening, the Israeli occupation aircraft launched raids on southern and eastern Lebanon, while flying over the capital Beirut and its suburbs, in new violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The official Lebanese News Agency said that Israeli fighter jets raided the eastern Lebanese mountain range in the Bekaa region (east).
In the Nabatieh district of the Nabatieh Governorate in southern Lebanon, Israeli fighter jets launched two raids targeting the valley between the towns of Bfarwa and Azza, according to the same source. It was not immediately known what the raids specifically targeted, nor their toll.
In the same context, eyewitnesses reported seeing heavy Israeli warplanes flying over Beirut, its suburbs, and central areas of the country.

A ceasefire agreement was announced on November 27, aiming to end a year-long exchange of cross-border shelling between Israel and Hezbollah, which turned into an open confrontation starting in September as the Israeli occupation intensified its raids and began ground incursions into border areas in southern Lebanon.
The agreement stipulated a sixty-day deadline for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from southern Lebanon in exchange for the Lebanese army and the United Nations force strengthening their deployment. In return, the party must withdraw from the area south of the Litani River and dismantle any remaining military structures there.
After Israel confirmed that it would not abide by the specified withdrawal deadline, the agreement was extended until February 18. During the past weeks, the two sides have exchanged accusations of violating the agreement. Israel confirmed that it will not allow the party to rebuild its capabilities or transfer weapons.
