Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohammed Al-Ashwal, stressed Yemen's aspiration to benefit from the distinguished Egyptian experience in the fields of trade, industry and investment, which would contribute to achieving sustainable development and facing economic challenges.

During an event held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Sunday, which brought together Egyptian officials and businessmen from both countries, he pointed out the importance of adapting these experiences to Yemen's special circumstances to contribute to rebuilding its economy, according to Saba News Agency.

Al-Ashoul praised the facilities that Yemeni businessmen enjoy in Egypt, considering this a reflection of the depth of historical and fraternal relations between the two countries and Egypt's steadfast role in supporting Yemen's unity and stability.

The event witnessed the discussion of a number of economic and commercial issues, including an invitation to Egyptian companies to resume their investment activities in Yemen, especially in the fields of engineering consulting, contracting and oil services, with emphasis on their expected role in the reconstruction program once peace is achieved.

The event also addressed the situation of Yemeni investors residing in Egypt, and the importance of activating economic and trade relations between the two countries. The focus was on benefiting from the Egyptian experience in economic reform, industrialization, and trade facilitation, in light of Yemen's efforts to develop effective economic policies that enhance its ability to confront current challenges and achieve stability.
