The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" considered, on Friday, the Israeli occupation army's commission of two new massacres in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of more than 70 Palestinians, "an extension of the brutal war of extermination."

The movement said in a statement: "A new crime is being committed by the Israeli occupation army by targeting the homes of the Ahmad and Baba families in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of more than 70 martyrs, most of them children and women, in addition to dozens of wounded."

She added: "Ambulances cannot reach them due to the systematic prevention of ambulance and civil defense crews from entering, in an attempt to perpetuate the brutal war of extermination and the ongoing violation of all laws and regulations, which is happening before the eyes and ears of the world."

Hamas continued: "The Zionist enemy continues its brutal war of extermination in the northern Gaza Strip, which it began 56 days ago, under a comprehensive criminal siege."

She pointed out that "the occupation prevents the entry of any of the necessities of life, such as food, water or medicine, and targets defenceless civilians and civilian facilities, especially hospitals, and kills doctors, paramedics and civil defence personnel, and prevents access to the wounded to treat them, in the most heinous crime of ethnic cleansing known to history."

She called on the international community and the United Nations to "break the siege on the northern Gaza Strip, allow relief, ambulance and rescue teams to enter, and stop the systematic campaign of extermination carried out by the occupation army."

In vain, the international community has been calling on Israel to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid to prevent a widespread famine, with some two million displaced.

Due to Israeli restrictions on the entry of aid, famine has spread throughout the Gaza Strip, with displaced people reducing their food intake and often relying on spoiled flour that was usually turned into animal feed.

Every day, a maximum of 30 aid trucks enter the Gaza Strip, which are very small quantities and are considered “a drop in the ocean of the needs of Palestinians and displaced persons,” according to previous statements by Enas Hamdan, UNRWA’s media officer.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 149,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Israel continues its massacres, ignoring two arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court on November 21 against its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Palestinians.
