"Al-Aqsa Flood" Delayed by Half an Hour.. Israeli Investigations Reveal Features of Al-Dhaif's Intelligence Superiority

Israeli security investigations have revealed the intelligence superiority of Muhammad Deif, the late commander of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), who reportedly delayed the launch of the October 7 attack by half an hour from its original time.
According to information that the Israeli military censorship allowed to be published, Al-Daif planned to start Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” at 6:00 a.m., but postponed the date after noticing a clear absence of Israeli forces in the area with their drones and tanks, which raised his suspicions that it was a military trick on Israel’s part.
Channel 12 Israel explained in a report published yesterday, Thursday, that after half an hour, Al-Dhaif's doubts were dispelled and he issued a direct order to the elite elements of the Al-Qassam Brigades to begin the attack.
According to the channel, the investigations are based on information provided by elite prisoners who confirmed that Al-Dhaif was in direct contact with them during the planning of the attack, and that the operation would not have been carried out on that date without his direct approval.
The channel said that the results of the investigations were presented to the Israeli military censorship two and a half months ago, and were not allowed to be published until Wednesday evening.
At the end of last January, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the martyrdom of its commander-in-chief, Muhammad Deif, after a long career that culminated in the Sword of Jerusalem operations in 2021 and the Al-Aqsa Flood in 2023.
"dramatic moment"
In turn, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said today, Friday, that Al-Daif thought after five o'clock in the morning on October 7, 2023, about freezing the planned attack.
She added that the "information security obsessed" guest was asking what was going on on the Israeli side to make sure it was not ready.
The newspaper described this moment as one of the most dramatic moments revealed in the framework of the investigations conducted by the Israeli army into the reasons for its failure to confront the attack of October 7.
Regarding the source of this information, the newspaper explained that prominent sources in Hamas conveyed it to a prominent figure in the countries that mediated the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and this figure informed the Israeli side.
The newspaper criticized the Israeli security establishment for failing to monitor the attack, describing what happened as negligence.
On the other hand, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said today, Friday, that the Air Force revealed in the latest issue of its magazine that Muhammad al-Deif was killed in an air strike using 8 bombs launched from F-35 aircraft.
She added that this was the ninth attempt to assassinate him, but it was successful.
Israel announced the assassination of Al-Daif on July 13, 2024, when warplanes launched a raid on the tents of displaced people in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
