The Israeli army announced that it targeted roads on the Syrian-Lebanese border used by Hezbollah to try to transfer weapons to Lebanon. Hebrew media reported on Thursday evening that Israel launched an attack on the city of Homs in central Syria.

The occupation army confirmed that it will continue to work to "remove any threat to Israel and prevent any attempt by Hezbollah to establish its presence," according to its statement.

The Hebrew newspaper "Israel Hayom" reported on Thursday evening that the Israeli army confirmed that it had launched an attack on the city of Homs in central Syria.

The private newspaper quoted unnamed Israeli official sources as saying that the army confirmed that it had launched an attack on the city of Homs in Syrian territory.

For its part, the official Lebanese News Agency said that Israeli Air Force planes were "flying at a low altitude over the city of Hermel and the villages of the northern Bekaa" in eastern Lebanon near the border with Syria.

Since the moment the Assad regime was overthrown, Israel has carried out dozens of air strikes against Syrian military targets, and expanded its occupation of the Golan Heights by occupying the Syrian buffer zone and Mount Hermon.

It also announced the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement with Syria, and the deployment of its army in the demilitarized buffer zone in the Golan Heights, most of whose area it has occupied since 1967, in a move condemned by the United Nations and Arab countries.
