Kamal Adwan Hospital is subject to daily targeting - Al Jazeera
The Israeli occupation army continued to target Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia and its surroundings with drones, and its forces destroyed a medical clinic in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Al Jazeera's correspondent in Gaza confirmed that a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted the Abu Shabak Health Center in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.
While the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli army had completely destroyed the health center.
The Director of Field Hospitals at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Marwan Al-Hamas, said that the Israeli occupation is practicing violence against all hospitals in Gaza.
Al-Hamas added in an interview with Al Jazeera that the situation is catastrophic and the hospitals are full of wounded and injured people. We do not have specialized doctors, services, medicines, or medical supplies, and our patients are dying due to the lack of medicines and the depletion of oxygen.
He stressed that hospitals are no longer able to provide services, in light of the severe shortage of medical supplies and humanitarian aid entering the sector.
Continuous targeting
Meanwhile, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, said that the Israeli army continues to target the hospital and its surroundings with drones, which has led to the injury of a number of Palestinians and medical personnel, and caused damage to electricity generators, water tanks, and the oxygen station.
Abu Safiya added in an interview with Al Jazeera, "We are living a new black day, as Israeli marches are killing and targeting everyone who moves in the hospital, and destroying generators, water tanks, and the oxygen station."
He pointed out that anyone who tries to repair the generators is targeted, adding that if the world does not intervene within hours to save us, the hospital will be turned into a ruin.
He continued, "The occupation targeted ambulances that had been coordinated to enter northern Gaza to evacuate the wounded, which resulted in injuries among the crews."
Abu Safiya confirmed that the hospital is suffering from power and water outages, with more than 50 injured people lying in the hospital, including cases in intensive care that need oxygen and water.
He added, "There are bodies of martyrs at the hospital gate, but no one is able to remove them for fear of being targeted."
On October 5, the Israeli army invaded the northern Gaza Strip. The Palestinians say that Israel wants to occupy the area and turn it into a buffer zone after displacing them from it under the pressure of bloody bombing and preventing the entry of food, water and medicine.
With American support, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 151,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
