Khalil Al-Hayya, head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip, said that the Palestinian people and their resistance achieved their goals in the "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle, stressing that the Israeli occupation has lost its prestige and that its defeat has become possible, and this paves the way for the complete liberation of Palestine.

Al-Hayya added, in a televised speech, that the resistance decided to officially announce the departure of a number of its leaders who "watered the land of Palestine with their pure blood, and handed over the banner to a new generation of leaders to continue the march towards Jerusalem."

He pointed out that "Hamas has accustomed its people to being at the forefront of martyrs, and for the blood of leaders to mix with the blood of the people in the battle of liberation."

Al-Hayya stressed that the resistance leaders sacrifice their lives for the sake of God, and fight battles in the front lines side by side with the soldiers, stressing that the departure of these leaders will not weaken the resistance, but will increase its strength and determination to continue on the path.

Speaking about the martyr leaders, Al-Hayya said, “This group that rose did not hesitate to make sacrifices after they made the occupation taste the horrors of confrontation, and wrote with their blood pages of glory that will be immortalized in history.”

New equations

He added that the resistance was able to impose new equations, as the occupation soldiers were leaving Gaza "humiliated and defeated, pursued by the resistance's strikes and international trials," while "the heroic prisoners are being released one after the other."

Al-Hayya, the commander-in-chief of the Qassam Brigades - the military wing of Hamas - singled out the martyr Mohammed Deif, describing him as "the man who terrified the occupation and spent his life being pursued and pursued, and led an army of mujahideen despite all the harsh circumstances." He also praised the leader Marwan Issa, whom he described as "the mastermind and wise man who led the resistance silently but with resounding actions."

Al-Hayya pointed out that the "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle was a turning point, as the resistance proved that it is capable of changing the equations, and that the occupation is not an invincible force as was being promoted.

He stressed that the resistance project is ongoing, recalling the senior Hamas political and military leaders who were martyred during the Al-Aqsa Flood War, most notably Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Saleh al-Arouri, and others who "left their mark on the Palestinian struggle."

He stressed that the blood of the martyrs will not be in vain, and that the resistance will continue on its path until Palestine is liberated, calling on the Islamic nation to support the Palestinian people in their fateful battle against the occupation.
