A citizen was killed by a mine explosion planted by the terrorist Houthi militia in Al Hudaydah Governorate (western Yemen).

The Human Rights Office in Al-Duraihimi District said yesterday evening that it had documented the killing of a citizen in the district, which has witnessed intensive mine-planting operations recently.

The office added, in a post on its Facebook page, that the citizen (Yahya Rajih Hiba Hadish - 45 years old) was killed as a result of a Houthi mine explosion west of Al-Shajan village in the directorate.

He explained that the incident occurred while the citizen was herding sheep the day before yesterday, bringing the number of victims of mine accidents in the directorate to three in one day.

The statement pointed out that the Houthi militia had recently planted large quantities of mines in the north and west of the village of "Al-Shajan", which resulted in many casualties.

The office announced the day before yesterday the death of a citizen and his son in the same directorate as a result of a Houthi mine exploding on their motorcycle.
