A citizen was killed in clashes between gunmen south of Lahj

A citizen was killed last night by gunmen in the Tuban district of Lahj Governorate (southern Yemen), amid the security chaos witnessed in the governorate.

Local sources said that the citizen, Hussein Muhammad Qasim Al-Qatibi, was killed by gunmen who were exchanging fire in the Rabat area at the Jaoula junction in the Tuban district.

The sources explained that the victim, Al-Qatibi, was killed while he was filling up his bus with fuel at a station in the Rabat area, near which clashes broke out between gunmen following a dispute over a piece of land.

The sources indicated that a bullet was fired from the weapon of one of the disputants and penetrated the head of the citizen Al-Qatibi, killing him instantly, while the perpetrators fled.
