Lahj.. Death and injury of 14 people in a traffic accident while heading to attend a football match

14 people were killed and injured in a horrific traffic accident in Lahj Governorate, southern Yemen, on Thursday.

Local sources said that four people were killed and more than ten others were injured in a traffic accident that occurred while they were heading to attend a football match between local teams in the Al-Mudharaba and Ras Al-Ara directorates in Lahj governorate.

Sources reported that the accident was caused by a car carrying fans overturning on the road leading to the match site.

The accident resulted in the immediate death of four people, while the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment, including critical cases.

The area witnessed a state of alert from security and medical authorities, who rushed to the accident site to treat the injured and transport the bodies. Investigations are still ongoing to determine the circumstances and causes of the accident.
