The National Army forces announced the arrest of a cell working for the terrorist Houthi militia that was planning to target military and security leaders and carry out terrorist operations in the governorates of Taiz and Lahj.
According to the armed forces website, September Net, the Houthi cell was arrested by military units in the Tur Al-Baha axis in Lahj Governorate.
The website quoted military sources as saying that the cell was arrested by the military intelligence services of the axis, and that it had 15 highly explosive C4 explosive devices in its possession.
He pointed out that initial investigations with the cell revealed that it was planning to target military and security leaders and carry out criminal operations by planting explosive devices and ambushes in the governorates of Lahj and Taiz.
During the first half of February, the security and military authorities in the government forces announced the arrest of Houthi cells in Hadhramaut, Abyan, Al Mahrah and Lahj, in addition to the arrest of shipments of weapons and prohibited materials with smugglers working for the Houthis in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.
