The Yemeni army announced today, Tuesday, that it had thwarted an infiltration attempt carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia on the Qanaw front, east of Bir Al-Maraziq in Al-Jawf Governorate, northeastern Yemen.
The Armed Forces Media Center quoted a military source in the 101st Infantry Brigade in the Sixth Military Region as saying that army units monitored the movements of militia elements near their positions, and dealt with them firmly with various medium and light weapons, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes that lasted for hours.
The source added that the clashes resulted in the killing of four enemy elements, the injury of five others, and the destruction of a military vehicle belonging to them.
He pointed out that the eastern fronts of Al-Jawf Governorate witness intermittent clashes from time to time, as a result of repeated attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia supported by Iran, stressing that our armed forces are fully prepared to confront any threats.
The army forces announced during the past few days that they had repelled hostile attempts by the Houthi militias on several fronts in the governorates of Ma'rib and Al-Jawf.
