A security official was injured yesterday evening, Sunday, by gunfire from an unknown gunman in the city of Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan Governorate in southern Yemen.
Local sources said that the Deputy Director of Traffic in Abyan Governorate, Major Zuhair Mohammed Jazea Al-Mahrouq, was shot on Sunday evening in front of the Al-Shamil Bank for Exchange in the city of Zinjibar.
The sources explained that the burnt victim sustained serious injuries after being shot three times, and was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Aden to receive treatment, while the gunman fled after the incident.
