Three young men drowned off the coast of Ahwar District, Abyan Governorate (southern Yemen).
Local sources said that the two brothers, Muhannad and Abdul Wahid Jaber Al-Wahishi, and their friend, Abdul Razzaq Muhdar Al-Najjar, died on Tuesday evening, after drowning while swimming on the coast of Maqatin in Ahwar District.
The sources added that the young men were on a holiday trip when brothers Muhannad and Abdul Wahid drowned while swimming. Their friend Abdul Razzaq tried several times to save them but failed and followed them.
This comes as Yemen's coasts are experiencing high tides due to the intensification of seasonal winds, amid official warnings against swimming during these days.
