A young man was injured by gunmen in the Al-Sahoul area, north of Ibb

A young man was seriously injured after being shot by gunmen in a town in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen), which is under the control of the Houthi militia and is witnessing widespread security chaos.

Local sources said that a motorcyclist named Ahmed Abdo Ahmed Al-Balaa, 15 years old, from the village of Al-Mahdada in Wadi Al-Janat in the Ibb countryside directorate, was injured by a penetrating gunshot to the head. He was taken to the hospital and his condition is very critical.

The sources added that the gunmen riding a motorcycle were targeting the passenger, Malik Al-Ameisi, who had previously been shot and miraculously survived death last October, but the bullet missed him this time and hit the motorcycle driver.

The sources indicated that the incident occurred while Al-Amisi was on his way to the hospital to undergo surgery after being shot by the same gunmen in an incident that resulted in the injury of another person next to him on October 22.

This comes amid widespread criminality and weapons chaos in the region, which is witnessing a widespread presence of armed gangs linked to the Houthis and an increase in land conflicts and local disputes.
