The President's "Petro Masila" station in the interim capital, Aden, has gone out of service due to the final depletion of crude oil, which has exacerbated the electricity crisis in the city, amid strict rationing of fuel supplies and new programming of outages.

Local informed sources said that a shipment of diesel weighing 11,800 tons recently arrived, which is enough, under normal circumstances, for only ten days, according to journalist and media activist Abdulrahman Anis.

Anis pointed out that the competent authorities issued directives to ration fuel distribution to stations to ensure the continuity of service for the longest possible period, as this rationing resulted in the stations operating at medium capacity.

Anis explained that according to the instructions of the officials responsible for rationing fuel supplies to the stations, a station that needs two trucks to generate its maximum capacity will only get one truck.

Abdulrahman Anis explained that the outages in the evening period were programmed to reach six and a half hours of outage for two hours of operation, while the deficit during the day decreases to four hours thanks to the contribution of solar energy.

This crisis reflects the scale of the challenges facing the electricity sector in Aden, with increasing demands for urgent action to provide the necessary fuel and improve infrastructure to ensure stable service.
