Aden: Yemen Youth Net - Special

On Sunday evening, the UAE-backed Transitional Council banned a sporting event organised by the Ministry of Interior in the interim capital, Aden (southern Yemen).
A special source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that elements of the Transitional Council closed the Al-Habishi Martyr Stadium in Crater City, and prevented the opening match of the football tournament organized by the Police Sports Federation for the security units affiliated with the Ministry of Interior and its members.
The source added that the stadium management said that it had received higher directives to close the stadium, despite prior coordination with the relevant authorities.
The first Ramadan football tournament for the Ministry of Interior members from Aden was scheduled to start on Sunday afternoon, under the patronage of Major General Ibrahim Ali Haidan, Minister of Interior, with 16 teams representing the security units of the ministry participating in the tournament.
