Aden: Five young men injured by a hand grenade explosion they were playing with

Five young men were injured, Friday morning, when a hand grenade they were playing with exploded in the city of Aden (southern Yemen).

Local and media sources said that a group of young men were chewing qat on the sea road linking Khormaksar and Mansoura, when a hand grenade they were playing with exploded, injuring five of them, some of them seriously.

The sources indicated that the young men were chewing qat in the car of the brother of one of the security leaders affiliated with the Transitional Council, named "Akram Awad Abdul Habib", who was seriously injured, as a result of which one of his hands was amputated.

Activists and media professionals circulated a video clip on social media showing young men playing with the bomb before it exploded.

According to the incident, the following people were injured:

Akram Awad Abdel Habib - seriously injured and his right hand amputated

Ahmed Muqbil - with a serious injury to his leg

Ahmed Abs - with an eye injury

Ali Baras - injured by shrapnel in his right shoulder

Paras' speech - with a slight injury to his ear
