Agency: Airstrike targets Al-Qaeda terrorist in Hadhramaut, eastern Yemen

An American drone carried out a bombing attack on an Al-Qaeda member in Hadhramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen, at dawn on Monday.

Sputnik Agency quoted a source in the local authority in Hadhramaut as saying that "an American drone launched a raid on a car carrying an Al-Qaeda member in the Gul Al-Qarashim area near the Ghail Bin Yamin junction, northeast of the city of Al-Mukalla, the center of Hadhramaut Governorate."

He added that the raid resulted in the burning of the car and its occupants without revealing his identity, noting that "the plane was flying in the skies of the Hadhramaut Valley directorates, and it appears that it was tracking the car before bombing it directly."

Several areas in Yemen are witnessing the presence of Al-Qaeda elements, including the cities of Wadi Hadramaut, which prompted the Yemeni army and the Arab coalition forces to carry out military operations on the organization's strongholds to cleanse those areas of its elements.
