IOM: More than 100 Yemenis displaced over the past week

The International Organization for Migration announced the displacement of more than 100 Yemenis last week for security and economic reasons due to the ten-year conflict.
The organization said in its weekly report that its displacement tracking matrix monitored the displacement of 17 Yemeni families (102 individuals) during the period from March 9 to 15.
The organization explained that the majority of families were displaced from Al Hudaydah, Taiz, Sana'a, and Amran, and settled in Marib (8 families), Al Hudaydah (6 families), and Taiz (2 families).
The report stated that 53% of the total new displacement cases, representing 9 families, were displaced due to safety and security concerns resulting from the conflict, while 8 families, representing 47%, were displaced for economic reasons related to the conflict.
He noted that 47% of newly displaced families are in need of shelter services, 35% are in need of food supplies, and 18% lack financial support.
The report indicated that the total number of displacements since the beginning of this year has risen to 423 families (2,538 individuals).
