A recent UN report revealed that nearly 13,000 African migrants arrived in Yemen during February.
The International Organization for Migration ( IOM) said in its monthly report that its tracking matrix recorded 12,906 migrants entering Yemen in February, a 16% decrease from the total number reported in the previous month, which saw 15,400 migrants enter.
The report added that 98% of the migrants arriving in Yemen were Ethiopian, while the rest were Somali.
The report stated that 91% of the migrants arrived on the coast of Dhubab in Taiz Governorate on Yemen's west coast via Djibouti, while 9% arrived on the coast of Shabwa from the coast of Somalia.
He pointed out that men represented 58% of the total number of immigrants, compared to 21% for women and 21% for children.
He pointed out that the number of migrants arriving in Yemen during the first two months of this year reached 28,306.
